DR. HATEM NASR is a world renowned industry leading expert in Digital Oilfield (DOF) with more than 27 years experience in the O&G industry and more than 18 years experience specifically in Digital Oilfield technology. A pioneer in the (DOF, Smart Field, iField) industry trend since 2001.
Has played a senior advisory role in helping companies in defining requirements, design, implementation and management of 18 major DOF projects around the world with IOCs and NOCs around the world including KOC, Saudi Aramco, Shell, SPDC, Chevron, PDO, ExxonMobil, Pemex and others. The total investment in these projects is in excess of $450 Million to date.
Since 2009 a Senior Advisor on Digital Oilfields to Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) and Senior Advisor on Digital Strategy to many Fortune 100 companies and international conglomerates.
Expert in a wide range of DOF topics: SCADA and automation, IoT, wireless communication, data management systems, physics-based and data-driven modeling, integrated asset management, engineering and business workflows, AI and analytics applications in O&G and change management.
KOC’s Digital Oilfield (KwIDF) initiative and projects have been recognized all around the world as the most advanced DOF systems, they have received multiple prestigious awards. The KwIDF systems have been rolled out on more than 1450 wells in KOC.
Dr. Nasr is the founder of vMonitor (now part of Rockwell Automation) which was a pioneer in DOF technology and served for many years as a technology executive in Baker Hughes
